Hello Nicole!
Last summer we used Scavify to create a statewide scavenger hunt here in Minnesota, something we modeled after a hunt the New Hampshire Historical Society had created the year before. Scavify is a subscription platform with pricing that depends on the number of users that sign up. Like any platform, it has strengths and limitations, but we found it to be useful for our purposes. The app allows you to create different kinds of tasks, including photo tasks, QR code scanning, geolocation check-ins, and trivia questions. After the summer program ended, we created three smaller scavenger hunts for three of our historic sites and museums and had those available for visitors for several months.
If you'd like to chat more about our experience with it, feel free to reach out!

Subject: What software or platform do museum's use for electronic scavenger hunts?
Hello everyone! I am currently working with my education staff to develop a new and improved interactive scavenger hunt that visitors and school groups may use when visiting our museum. We would like to offer one for our outside memorial park and one for the galleries. Wondering if anyone has experience using electronic scavenger hunts and what platform or software do you recommend? We are currently using BookWidgets, which is alright, but would like to explore other options. Let me know your experiences and what you like to use. Thank you in advance for your recommendations.
