    Good morning everyone!

    I hope you are well.
I am working with a museum project that requires the translation of a visitor survey into multiple languages. The survey will be accessible in person only via QR code.
I have been exploring the best options for doing so, one of which is a multi-lingual QR Code that relies on smart technology to detect a user's preferred language (based on phone settings).
There are other options, of course - 1) presenting a few language specific QR codes to choose from; 2) linking to a webpage where participants then click to access a survey we have prepared in their preferred language. I am most interested in the multi-lingual option, as it seems most inclusive.
Please share your insights or experience. I am happy to report back on the outcome and compiled recommendations.
Any (technology) vendors you can suggest would also be most welcome!
    Thank you in advance,

    Hi Laura,

I'm Will from Eriksen Translations in Brooklyn; we assist nearly every major museum in the United States, in more than 100 languages. We've provided translations for many museum surveys, and I'd be happy to chat with you about language services for your project.

Certainly post-COVID, QR codes are a viable option for the general museumgoing public, and many of our partners use them. Although I am not familiar with the multilingual QR code vendor you provided, it would seem to be the best of the options listed. Test, test, test! is my recommendation, certainly if this is a new vendor, across multiple languages. Of course, I could assist you with that, too.

    Best regards,

    Will Lach

    Hi Laura,

Nubart offers innovative solutions for cultural organizations, amongst them, the Audio Guide Visitors Keep. It consists of customizable cards, with multilingual and multimedia content that visitors access by scanning a private QR code directly with their smartphones.

We include a multilingual feedback survey directly in all of our audio guides. After the last track of each audio guide, the visitor can interact with the museum through a short 5-question survey.  Free data reports that collect a great deal of anonymous information about your visitors and their behavior, are also part of our service.

I would gladly send further information and samples if required.

    Best,

    Evelyn Crende
