The Curatorial Studies program at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada announces a one-week Summer Institute in Museum Studies to take place July 29-August 2, 2024. For more information on the program and enrollment, click this link: https://carleton.ca/culturalmediations/the-summer-institute/
Each day will cover a dedicated topic (including access, repatriation/rematriation, decolonization, leadership, and difficult histories), with leading expertise provided by a guest contributor. The day will follow a workshop format and will include a lecture, discussion, and guided site visit or tour. A bibliography relevant to the topics covered will be circulated ahead of the Summer Institute. This one-week course will be of benefit to both established museum practitioners and those wanting to break into the field. It will close with a presentation and discussion session led by participants.
