The Route 66 Spirit of America Museum seeks support for the development of a conference to take place in Oklahoma City on July 10-12, 2026 (the year America turns 250 and Route 66 turns 100). 

The purpose of the conference will be (a) to bring together people and organizations currently developing innovative solutions to the many crises we face... solutions with the power to give people hope that the future can still be better than the past... and (b) to honor those pioneering innovators who developed the principles for building a world based on cooperation, empathy, curiosity, and systems thinking (hugely important, because its problem-solving methodology is largely unknown by the public). The pioneers I'm referring to are Drs. R. Buckminster Fuller, W. Edwards Deming, and Russel L. Ackoff.

There is also a strong possibility that this conference will publicly launch the effort to build a new museum that will showcase the work of these pioneers and those who are working on solutions today. The museum - the History Of The Future Museum - would be located in the Gold Dome Building, only the fifth major geodesic dome ever built. This architectural concept was developed by Buckminster Fuller, and the Gold Dome Building is currently empty and for sale). People and/or organizations interested in supporting the creation of this new museum should also contact me.
