They have quite a range of capabilities in their facilities in the Brooklyn Navy Yards. Years ago I did some work with them using large, flatbed printers. I don't remember how thick a substrate they could handle, but if memory serves, 2" wasn't out of the question. The other dimensions (WxH) may also be a factor/consideration.
Printing on cardboard likely will, itself, present its own challenges, depending on what you have in mind and the results you're looking for. But they'll talk you through that if it's physically possible in the first place.
In any case, it's certainly worth a phone call.
