  • 1.  Multimedia files on iPads

    Posted 02-07-2017 11:53 AM

    Dear Colleagues,

Museum educators at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens utilize iPads for administrative purposes, but also engagement. All thematic lesson plans for student groups are placed on iPads. We would like to embed video and sound files into our lesson plans, but have had problems doing this. Has anyone had experience and success embedding video and sound files into text documents? If so what platform have you used. We have had problems with .pdf and iBooks when using multiple files on each device.

    Thank you in advance.

    Mark

    Hi Mark,

Feel free to reach out to us if you please.  We build a learning management system in HTML that helps organise and run multimedia including, pdf's, powerpoint, video, audio, animation and games, as well as build out lesson plans to be sent out to students or shared with teachers.  Built as a web app you can view the content with the app on any device including iPad with all the media also playing from within the web app so no need to link out to any other content.

We've also have several thousand pieces of content available on Spongelab that can be channeled in as additional resources.

    Talk soon,
