Hi all – We use an iPad to play videos occasionally in exhibits. We have tried "locking" the iPad, but visitors still find a way to get themselves into YouTube or other areas of the internet. Does anyone use an app that they have found successful to use in situations such as this?

    Hello,

We have used the Kiosk Pro app in the past to lock down iPads in exhibits and it worked very well for us.

Kiosk Pro is the Grandmother of kiosk apps. iOS has Guided Access and Single App modes. The first is accessible via menus and designed to be used by teachers in the classroom. It's quick and simple. Single App requires using Apple Configurator and is meant to be used be businesses but it is a true lockdown.

Hi, are you looking for an app for your museum? We make apps for museums which can also host audio and video content. We've made one for the aviation museum of Kentucky. Let me know

    Hi all,

Following your comments, I want to share some information that may be of interest to everyone.

Our patent-pending Nubart-Sync system allows watching videos with synchronized audio without worrying about IPads. NUBART SYNC is a browser-based system for synchronizing video and audio. You can effortlessly upload your video and soundtracks in various languages to a securely password-protected Nubart account, provided that your screens or projectors are compatible with a browser and have Internet connectivity.

We handle the integration of the soundtracks and ensure that they are flawlessly synchronized with the original video. No extra equipment is required, nor will your visitors need to download any apps. Access can be granted through a quick QR/URL code or with our audio guides.

I invite you to try our demo here. No email or login required!
    Cheers!

Absolutely!  Locking down iPads for exhibits can feel like herding cats  without the right tools.  While I haven't tried it myself, I've heard good things about Kiosk Pro. It's like putting your iPad on autopilot, letting you showcase videos without visitors getting sidetracked.

Forget those easy money app promises  - they're usually a recipe for disaster. Kiosk Pro might seem like a small investment, but it could save you a big headache in the long run.

This way, you can focus on what truly matters: engaging your visitors with impactful exhibits.  Imagine their faces lighting up as they lose themselves in your carefully curated videos!
