The pull back trains from Akron novelty are probably our most popular train item. They come in a couple different sizes.

At the Forney Museum of Transportation in Denver, the pull back trains were a hit with kids  (been a number of years since I worked there) but our biggest sellers were tshirts with trains on them (especially a photo/embroidery of our Big Boy steam loco) and billed caps with trains on them.  On the higher expense side, repro clocks with (licensed) RR company logos and clocks made from bike tires, gears, etc  sold well.  Kids engineer hats only were so-so sales and the same with the wooden train whistle.  Adult mostly blew them and then looked sheepish and put them back.  One big bust was the dining flatware that looked like wrenches.  Everyone thought they were cute but didn't buy.
