The latest episode, BASH, explores the dangers wildlife strikes pose to both commercial and military pilots. Even at high altitudes, these strikes occur at an alarming rate and cost the Air Force substantial damages. Thus, pilots must be equipped with the proper knowledge and toolset to minimize their risk. Jeff and Dave discuss personal stories that have occurred over the course of their careers, such as when following an incident at 3,000 feet, a Smithsonian Institution analysis identified deer DNA in the remains.
