Does anybody have any suggestions for places that offer temporary outdoor exhibits?
My museum has an outdoor plaza space that is rarely used and we have been discussing ways to get it noticed. One of our ideas was to look for outdoor exhibits that we can bring in and set up for a period of time. It's about 2,000 or so sq. ft. of space. Being in Oklahoma, the exhibits would need to be able to withstand high winds and temperatures if we hosted them in the summer.
They built the plaza with event rentals in mind, but they didn't build any awnings to offer shade, so in the summer it's very hot and uncomfortable during the early and mid-afternoon hours. The space is also in an area that is both private for rental purposes, but also secluded enough that the average visitor doesn't know it's there and open when not being rented.
We would also be open to any suggestions that anyone might have.
