I am wondering what project management software people are using. Ideally free or inexpensive, we are a small museum staff. I am having trouble finding something that can calendar multi-day events (like exhibitions). I have tried Planner and Click Up but am looking for a recommendation.  I need something fairly basic to show gallery schedules and switchouts.  I am using Treams and Excel at the moment - but it is not ideal.

thank you in advance for any help

Hello Merry -- We have been using Monday.com for over a year now to manage multiple team members working on multiple projects.  It's been working well and there are several features I haven't even scratched the surface of yet!  Because we have multiple users/seats, we have a paid subscription but it looks like there is a free version with scaled back features for 2 users.  Then there are options to upgrade per user/seat. Best, A.J.

Hi Merry,

Our museums use Collective Access, a free, open-source software for cataloguing and publishing museum and archival collections.  We are using it as part of a collective, so we have more support than if we were on our own, but it works very well, and has a public facing component as well, if you'd like to put your collections (or just some) online.  It is web-based, so I can access it from anywhere.

The consortium we are part of is called ConnecticutCollections, if you'd like to see the public portal.

Connecticut Collections

Good luck,

Jodi
