Greetings All,
We have a new museum open storage annex building opening. Unfortunately, I was not involved in the design and planning, but it includes LED track and recessed lighting. This will house our 1926 fire truck with the plan that the lights will be on from dusk until dawn so the public can view the vehicle. I have been told that the LED will not have an adverse effect on the artifact, but that is a lot of light for a long period of time (see attached). From a conservator's standpoint, should I be worried?
