Hi Liliana, Little Green Light (LGL) is a serviceable donor management database if you have straight forward needs and not a ton of constituent records. In my experience, these would be the most important pros / cons to consider:
Pros
- Cheap and straight forward pricing
- Pricing based on constituent records. The pricing page gives you a great idea of how much things will cost, which is refreshing!
- Easy and intuitive interface which is important, because no donor management system will be good if no one knows how to use it
- For basic donor management needs, the functionality is pretty good (donor tracking, contact management, fundraising
- Has online giving functionality
- Basic integrations supported
- Constant Contact
- Stripe
- Quickbooks Online
- Zapier
Cons
- Has a limit of 200,000 constituent records
- If your processes are more advanced and require automation, you will run into a ceiling with LGL
- Not a true CRM, meaning it is great for donor management, but if you have other kinds of constituents and you need to fit other processes in there that aren't donor management related, you will have trouble eventually
- Marketing automation is basic
- Once you need advanced segmentation, want ads integration, want robust marketing automation, etc you will become frustrated with LGL
- Limited integration marketplace
For a quick summary, I have found that LGL is a great option for smaller organizations with basic donor management processes. If you see yourself scaling and needing to integrate more systems / automate processes, then you will run into a ceiling with LGL eventually.
Hope this is helpful!
