Hello community!
I have been searching for a solution and I'm stumped - wondered if anyone here has experience or resources.
We are attempting to hang medium-size aircraft models from some kind of track on the ceiling so that they can "fly" around the room - think like model trains on a track, but airplanes hanging down instead. I have searched with hobby/craft resources, RC and modelers groups, and more, and it seems like there is no made-for option for this.
Right now we are working with an engineer to invent a system; obviously the tough part is powering such a system, ideally a hot track so we don't have to deal with batteries, etc. We're looking at dismantling existing systems for trains and adapting them for our use, but there must be a better way!
Does anyone have experience with a ceiling track/moving hanging system? Any ideas out there?
