I am an author/illustrator of a new children's book published by Red Chair Press. I believe that this book would be a great tie-in for Women's History Month programs at museums.
The title is Where Are the Women?: The Girl Scouts' Campaign for the First Statue of Women in Central Park. The book is for ages 7-10.
When a group of New York City Girl Scouts learn in 2016 that there are no statues of women in Central Park, they organize and combine forces in a quest to change that shocking fact.
Kirkus Reviews recommends the book, calling it "An inspiring true story of female empowerment."

This book won a Mom's Choice Gold Award, a Bronze Readers' Choice Award, and a Royal Dragonfly Book Award for Children's Nonfiction.
Brenda Feigen, American feminist activist, film producer & lawyer, former VP of NOW, co-founder of Ms. Magazine had this to say about the book:
"I love this book! It's perfect for both girls and boys―and their parents. It makes the women in the monument colorfully come alive for all of us."
