Historically, the Montana Historical Society has been open M-S from 9-5. We are closed right now for a huge construction/renovation project but when we reopen in 2025, we are looking at changing our hours of operation so we can serve more people.
I'm wondering if you've had success with swapping weekend and evening hours for "business hours." If you are open in the evenings, how many nights a week (and how late)? Do you find some evenings work better than others? Do you change seasonally? In Montana, we get most of our tourists in the summer-when funding has allowed, we've stayed open on Sundays Memorial Day to Labor Day as well. But we also want to make sure we're serving our local population well.
Thanks for any advice you can give.
