Webinar: Connecting environmental monitoring data to CMS (May 14)

    Hi all,

Most of us monitor our collection environments and manage our object records in completely separate systems. We know the temperature and humidity of a room, and we know which objects are in that room, but there hasn't been a practical way to connect those two things at the object level.

What would change if you could? How would it affect the way you write condition reports, negotiate loans, or decide where objects go?

Conserv and Collector Systems have built an integration that connects real-time environmental sensor data to individual object records inside a collections management system. This is a new approach, and we think it opens up some really interesting possibilities for connected collections care.

On May 14 at 11:00 AM EST, we're hosting a free webinar to walk through the integration, show how it works, and talk about where we think it can go.

We also see this very much as a starting point rather than a finished product. The direction this took was shaped significantly by feedback we got at a session at ARCS last year, and we want to keep building on that. So we're setting aside time for questions, reactions, and ideas. If you have thoughts on what connecting environmental data to the object level could look like or what would make it genuinely useful in your work, we'd love to hear them.
