Thomas Jefferson's Monticello received a major grant to support research into the impacts of the Educating for American Democracy (EAD) network on museums and other cultural organizations.
The EAD Community Learning Partners task force is partnering with Wilkening Consulting to field a (relatively) short survey that will help us to better understand what is working, what remains challenging, and what we might do to strengthen the work of our network, as members and as a community of practice. Additionally, whether or not you are part of the EAD network, we are interested to know if and how you incorporate civic concepts and skills into your program, exhibition, and resource development and your institutional strategy.
This is the first part of a two-year impact evaluation that will include invited civic partnerships summits. Please take a few minutes to contribute your data and thoughts now.
Completing this survey thoroughly may make you eligible for an invitation to and travel stipend for our very first in-person EAD Community Learning Partners summit, to take place over two days at Monticello in November 2026. We'll also be sharing our findings widely.
Thank you for your time, and feel free to reach out for more information!
