Do you recognize donors onsite at your museum--especially by "naming" a gallery or other asset in recognition of a generous gift? If so, do you specify the duration of recognition? We've been recommending term limits for such recognition (with permanent recognitions on some sor tof centralized installation). What practice has your institution adopted?

We have several "named" spaces, depending on the level of the donation. If your museum hasn't done this in the past, you'll want a policy for naming. Like, how long will the space bear the donor's name? We had a lot of hurt feelings (understatement) when our Executive Director retired, then a new Executive Director did renovations to the building and wanted to rename spaces.
