Join us in Lawrence! At AAMG's in-person 2023 conference, you can connect with your peers in the field, share stories, and learn something new. There is much to discuss: our conference theme, Opening Up: Creating New Field Guides to Trust, Service, and Responsibility, has prompted dozens of sessions. We're also providing time for conversation between sessions and throughout our stay at the University of Kansas and the Spencer Museum of Art.
AAMG's strategic priorities underpin the work we will do at the conference and throughout the year:
-Opportunities for professional development and community building
-Advocacy in the field
-Cultivation of professional practices
-Commitment to organizational sustainability goals
Join AAMG members like Meredith Peruzzi, Director of the National Deaf Life Museum at Gallaudet University who had this to say about past conference experiences:
"The AAMG conference is essential for academic museum staff, because no other conference gives you the opportunity to connect with colleagues who understand the unique professional nuances of working within a university structure. Working with your institution's own students, and integrating with other collegiate departments, are processes special to academic museums; having connection with others in this field has helped develop my own practice and provided a sense of collaboration I can't find anywhere but AAMG."
What might the 2023 AAMG conference do for you? You'll have to come to Lawrence to find out! aamg-us.org/2023registration/
