    Hello AAM community,

Seeking folks that can suggest possible venues to exhibit a research based body of art titled "The Women of April" which was exhibited at the New York Studio School Gallery in NYC last year. The work documents the history of the April 1965 US invasion of the Dominican Republic and unpacks the connection between US militarism and mass migration and displacement and the creation of diasporas here in the US. The exciting part is that it highlights the role of the Women of April who were untrained civilians who fought against the 42,000 marines sent by LBJ to invade the small Caribbean nation. The aftershock of the invasion is with us in the form of the Dominican diaspora now the largest immigrant community in NYC and the 4th largest Latinx community in the USA.

You can view a video of the exhibition here: https://youtu.be/2vxgXFoiifY

I would welcome any suggestions for how to showcase this Latinx exhibition at other venues.

    Thanks!
