As the museum professional and a geologist, I'm interested to know about the damage to museum collections and buildings caused by 7.7 magnitude earthquake on March 28 in Myanmar and Thailand.

The Mansalay National Museum and old royal palace walls are among the buildings affected , according to Yangon Times.

Footage on social media shows severe damage to Manalay Palace, built in the 19th century  by Myanmar's royal family. Shwe Sar Yan Pagoda, a Buddhist site dating back to the 11th century is also said to be badly damaged.

Does any member of our AAM has any more information? In the USA, many Science and Technological museums possess the Sphere patented by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Are some images of the above devasting earthquake received on SOS? If yes, which is the weblink ?
