Hello AAMers,
Last year I included this story from The Guardian in an edition of Dispatches from the Future of Museums: Many US companies move to pay travel costs for employees seeking abortions.
This trend is particularly pertinent as, as Axios recently reported, 22 US states have banned or severely restricted abortion, and more are expected to follow.
I'm trying to find out whether any museums located in states with such legislation have provided or are planning to provide travel support for employees seeking to terminate a pregnancy. If you have investigated this benefit and identified any legal or insurance concerns, I would be interested to learn about that, as well.
Replies in thread welcome, but if you would prefer to correspond off-forum, you can reach me at emerritt (at) aam-us.org
