Increasing Inclusivity in Audience-Facing Text: Implementing the Good, Better, Best Rubric
Brochures, maps, labels, and newsletters are not just words on a page, they are opportunities to convey your mission to audiences. The ways we choose to speak through these mechanisms shapes how (and how well) audiences receive our messaging. The Good, Better, Best rubric supports universal, inclusive text across departments and writing modalities using nine focus areas and three guiding scales. Join us to learn how to implement this free resource to assess readability and inclusivity in audience-facing text and edit it to increase comprehension and connection. Attendees are encouraged to bring text from their current and/or planned audience-facing materials to practice.
