    Hello museum colleagues.

My museum, the Science Museum of Minnesota, has teamed up with the Smithsonian's Our Shared Future: Reckoning with Our Racial Past initiative to offer Museums Advancing Racial Justice, a three-day convening designed to inspire action and seed impactful racial justice work in organizations big and small across the country. Applications are now open, and I wanted to spread the word.

Museums Advancing Racial Justice is a project of the Smithsonian Institution's Our Shared Future: Reckoning with our Racial Past initiative and the Science Museum of Minnesota. Gather with other professionals from around the country to explore the past, present, and future of racial justice in museums and cultural institutions.

Participation is entirely free; the Smithsonian will cover travel, lodging, and food stipends.

Share, imagine, and grow as part of this learning cohort - then take your learnings home. Following the convening, participants will be eligible to apply for a $10,000 mini-grant to help implement racial justice work at their own organizations.

Applications are due Oct. 30. Visit smm.org/marj for more information and an application.
