AAM is searching for experienced museum professionals from a broad and diverse range of expertise areas, career roles, perspectives, and individual backgrounds who are committed to excellence, and are creative, holistic, and critical thinkers to join the Accreditation Commission.
During this nominations cycle, AAM is especially seeking individuals with core experience in any of the following types of museums: history/historic sites, art museums, academic museums, state governance, and /or those with very small or very large budgets. Individuals who identify as belonging to an underrepresented or marginalized community are highly encouraged to apply.
The nominating committee is also looking for individuals eager to be part of advancing current efforts to better codify how the Accreditation Commission addresses DEAI in its decision-making and application of the standards.
