What Is to Be Done? Responding to the Current Crisis
This panel discussion will offer ideas on what museums can, should, and must do in response to recent indiscriminate cuts to the federal government, the dismantling of agencies, the dissemination of false and misleading statements, and efforts to censor critical responses from organizations and individuals. Panelists for this initial discussion are:

Mike currently serves as Operations Director for Explore Washington Park, a nonprofit that supports access and visitor experience for the 410-acre public urban park in Portland, Oregon.
Micah Parzen is a nonprofit leader, anthropologist, and attorney. He has served as CEO of the Museum of Us (formerly the San Diego Museum of Man) since 2010, where he and his team are focused on developing better and better practices in what an anti-racist and decolonial museum can look like.
