    Hello Museum Friends!

We are an open-air living history museum currently using Blackbaud Altru for all our booking needs - membership, donations, ticketing, field trips, and private event rentals.

Our private event rentals team is exploring the use of a new platform, https://tripleseat.com/, to streamline their wedding/private event rental process. Is anyone else using this platform? Is anyone using it for non-private event purposes (such as field trips or public program ticketing)? If so, our events team would love to reach out to you and find out how you like it in comparison to a traditional system such as Altru or Raiser's Edge and what its real-world capabilities and limitations are.

Let me know and I'll put you in touch with our team - thanks in advance!

    Hello Claire,

Greetings from Dayton, Ohio! We use Tripleseat at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, where we have multiple venues in operation 7 days a week for group events, dinners, dances, graduations, meetings, ceremonies, tours, etc. I don't run the system, but each day I get a summary of events from Tripleseat detailing what's going on around our campus. If you'd like, I can put you in touch with our staff who are familiar with how Tripleseat works for us -- it has some rules and complexities I'm told, but once you know how to use it, it seems pretty effective.

    Cheers,

    Doug

We are using triple seat for our events.  The events manager and team loves it.  We always know what is going on and event planning is more seamless.

Good day.  We have been on TripleSeat for several years now for all of our engagements (Private parties, gallery rentals, etc).  It is integrated with our Single Signon providers and has reduced the reliance upon paper event sheets tremendously.  Further, our inhouse caterer is able to see the layouts as well.

As to non-PE type events, we do book for capacity so when a media outlet does something onsite or galleries need to be closed for maintenance, it is also in that.

It is not integrated with BB.

    Hi Claire,

Thank you for asking this question! I am an Event Lead at the Minneapolis Institute of Art and am aware of Tripleseat but have not used it myself. Our museum uses a program called Artifax to manage all museum rentals including externals and internals, along with guided and self-guided tour groups with our Visitor Experience and Learning departments. We have found this immensely helpful within our organization to manage our spaces in partnership with colleagues across departments. This has also been a beneficial program for filing, invoicing, report distribution, and inventory management.

I am unsure if there are ticketing or membership capabilities, but they have regular updates increasing the program's capabilities. Mia uses a separate program called Ticketure for ticketing and membership purposes which has its pros and cons depending on how your ticketing and programming operate.

Let me know if you are interested in hearing more and good luck with these exciting shifts in operations!

    Best,

    Dustin

Our Rentals Team uses Tripleseat and they love it. It is also great because I can go in and just view the calendar to see what events are booked or what days are still available without having to bother them.
