Values to Build By: Re-imagining the Global Teaching Museum
The Princeton University Art Museum is building an entirely new museum facility whose galleries will offer a strong sense of interconnectedness across time, cultures, and media. To guide their reimagining of the global teaching museum, the team of 12 curators are inspired by a set of "core values". Juliana Dweck, Chief Curator, will discuss these guiding principles and the working processes that facilitated new thinking about interpretation and engagement.
Juliana Ochs Dweck is the chief curator of the Princeton University Art Museum, where she was previously the Andrew W. Mellon Curator of Academic Engagement. At Princeton, her exhibitions have included Miracles on the Border: Retablos of Mexican Migrants to the United States; Picturing Protest; and Surfaces Seen and Unseen: African Art at Princeton.
