    The next conversation about MUSEUMS AND CHANGE will take place this Thursday 7/14 at 12:30pm EDT. We hope you will join us for this engaging presentation and discussion on a compelling topic for all museums and related organizations.  The conversation will be framed by Cindy Myers Foley, see her bio below.



    Courageous Listening: An Approach to Revitalization

    During the past two years, the Columbus Museum of Art reoriented and revitalized its programs by listening closely to the ideas and wants of its staff and audiences. Staff were invited to assume new leadership roles and to employ their skill sets in new ways. As a result, CMA was able to generate new kinds of programs to meet the needs of its stakeholders and community. Cindy Foley will present on how courageous listening can advance museums' agendas while investing internally in staff and programs.

    Cindy Meyers Foley is the Scantland Family Executive Deputy Director at the Columbus Museum of Art. She reimagined the Museum and its impact on the community by situating creativity as CMA's social mission.  Foley has given two TEDX talks and regularly keynotes museum and education conferences. She is co-author of a chapter in CHANGE IS REQUIRED: PREPARING FOR THE POST-PANDEMIC MUSEUM, to be published in August.
