We're bringing this popular webinar back for its 3rd iteration! It can be difficult to identify, quantify, and speak to the value of collections work in archives and museums. While we know how important our work is, the truth is, it's hard to articulate the value of it to our bosses, let alone anyone outside of the field. Worse, in times of economic crisis positions that take care of, manage, catalog, and educate with the collection can be vulnerable to elimination. It's critically important for collection workers to know how to identify what's of value to stakeholders and decision makers, and how to quantify and translate our work in a meaningful way. This webinar will walk through each part: identification, measuring, and speaking to the value of collection work; and will offer specific examples along the way.
