In the current climate, museums, archives, and cultural heritage organizations are facing diminishing resources and staff are in a constant state of overwhelm. We can't self-care our way out of burnout unless that care includes degrowth. Degrowth is an economic paradigm that challenges capitalism and the drive to always be productive. This webinar will explore how to apply the degrowth concept aka how to deaccession things from our lives. But, in order to do so effectively we'll also review how to create our own personal "collecting mission" and how to identify high impact activities. These familiar tools of the trade can aid us in our application of the degrowth concept and will help provide an avenue toward sustained relief.
