    On Monday, April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will be seen in the US from Texas to Maine. States on the path of totality include: Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.

    All of North America will have at least a partial solar eclipse (if skies are clear).

    The NISE Network has prepared resources to help you plan ahead to engage public audiences in your community:

    • Compilation of solar eclipse public engagement resources
      Compilation of resources for solar eclipse public engagement including hands-on activities, safe viewing, maps, event planning, citizen science, live-streaming, citizen science, sensory resources, cultural connections, and more:

    • Recorded online workshop of museums sharing their local event planning (60 minutes)
      Presenters include: Rochester Museum & Science Center in Rochester, NY; Morehead Planetarium and Science Center in Chapel Hill, NC; Fort Worth Museum of Science and History; Bootheel Youth Museum in Malden, MO; Thinkery in Austin, TX; and Children's Museum of Indianapolis:

    • Recorded online workshop featuring public engagement resources (60 minutes)
      Presenters include: NASA GLOBE Observer, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, Eclipse Soundscapes Project National Science Teaching Association, Exploratorium, Astronomical Society of the Pacific, and the NISE Network:
