Hey Matthew, thanks for your feedback! I 100% resonate with your comment about museums priding themselves on research and accuracy. The way our system works is you upload the the information you would want our system to know, and then when a visitor asks a question using our chatbot, our system only utilizes the information that was uploaded to it by the museum. We developed it with these thoughts in mind exactly, so there is virtually no risk of hallucinations as our AI only utilizes the information given to it, not any external sources like chatGPT does for example.
So for example, if I have let's say a piece of art called 'The Gianluca', I would write up important information, upload it to the system, and then generate a QR code through our platform. Then, when a visitor goes to scan it, and I ask a question completely unrelated like when was Leonardo Da Vinci born and what was the temperature outside on that day, it wouldn't answer that question, and give a thoughtful response about how that isn't related to 'The Gianluca'.
I hope this makes sense! Feel free to let me know if you have any questions, I enjoy talking about this a lot :)

Hi Gianluca, I applaud your efforts. There are indeed many cool features that Ai can pull together to give each visitor the perfect individual experience. Museums pride themselves on research and accuracy. It takes a village to produce just one single 100 word label. My concern with Ai is the hallucinations they are known for. If visitors are learning information that are not facts it would be a problem. Good luck, let us know how it goes and point us to your first test cases so we can follow along.

Subject: Exploring AI in Museums: QR Code Chatbots for Interactive Exhibits
Hi everyone,
I hope you're all doing well. I'm Gianluca from symplistic.ai, based in Toronto, Canada. I'm an entrepreneur with a deep passion for technology and a lifelong commitment to learning. These two passions have led me to dive into the museum industry, where I've been developing an AI-powered QR code chatbot solution specifically designed for museums and cultural spaces.
With so much focus on enhancing visitor engagement and accessibility, I wanted to start a conversation about how AI could play a role. Imagine visitors scanning a QR code next to an exhibit and instantly having an interactive, AI-powered chatbot answer their questions in real-time, suggest related exhibits, or even share multimedia content to deepen their experience. The potential for personalizing the museum experience and making content more accessible to diverse audiences is exciting.
I'd love to hear your thoughts! Have any of you experimented with similar technologies in your institutions? What has worked well, and where do you see room for growth in visitor engagement with digital tools like this?
Looking forward to your insights!
Thanks,
Gianluca Astorino
