    Dear Layne,
Thank you for creating the text file, very kind of you!

I was in Boulder for meetings and only happened into the Boulder Public Library and loved my visit. They have a place for homeless people to store their belongings, a Maker Space, kids reading time while I was there, and a group of Tibetan monks was creating Sand Mandalas. I took a photo of the Rules of Conduct because so many different types of activities and people were all in one environment and seemingly getting along.

    All the best,

    Hi, Karen.

MOCA's is here, but since the page is a little dense with lots of info (it's in a redesign process), I've pasted the pertinent section below. For staff and security, we have a set of internal procedures that explains more about prohibited items and conduct, as well as procedures to follow when a visitor violates the code of conduct.

    DOS AND DON'TS AT MOCA

    VISITOR CODE OF CONDUCT

The Museum of Contemporary Art is committed to making the experience of art accessible. We welcome and serve all visitors in an inclusive and safe environment. To ensure all visitors have a safe and memorable experience, we ask staff and visitors to be considerate of others as we share this space. If you need assistance, see something odd, or just need to borrow a pencil, please let a Gallery Attendant (MOCA staff wearing all black) know how we can help.

We ask everyone to adhere to the following guidelines:

Please respect our staff and your fellow art lovers!

MOCA celebrates diversity among its visitors and staff, and strongly condemns violence, bullying, or hate speech based on race, gender, gender identity or expression, or sexual orientation. We are a proud member of the Safe Space Alliance.

Let's stay safe together! Please respect our staff and your fellow art lovers!

    • Do not visit MOCA if you are feeling sick, have a fever, or have had any symptoms of COVID-19 or exposure to someone with COVID-19 in the past 14 days.
    • A contactless temperature check station is in the lobby of our Grand Avenue for your use.
    • Staff and visitors are required to wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth at all times on MOCA premises. Neck gaiters, open-chin triangle bandanas, and face coverings containing valves, mesh material or holes of any kind are not acceptable.
    • Children under age 2 are not required to wear masks.
    • Maintain physical distancing, stay 6 feet apart from other visitors and staff.
    • Follow all signage and staff instructions

Please enjoy our artwork with your eyes! However, please keep two feet of distance from all works of art. Even a slight touch can damage the surface so we ask that you leave touching the art to the professionals. If artwork is interactive, we'll be sure to let you know. Help us protect the artwork for future generations of visitors!

Adult supervision of all children is required. Young children may not be carried on the shoulders, but strollers are welcome and available for check-out. Inquire with a friendly MOCA Gallery Attendant when you arrive; we'll hold your ID while you borrow it.

Adult supervision of all children is required. Young children may not be carried on the shoulders, but strollers are welcome!

Food, drinks, backpacks (even if they are purses), and large bags are not allowed in the museum, and we cannot hold them for you. Due to COVID-19 prevention measures, MOCA staff will not handle or store these items. Kindly leave them behind prior to your visit. We appreciate you helping us keep the museum clean and safe for our visitors and staff.

Photos are welcome in the museum! Just please turn off your flash and put away your tripods, selfie sticks, stabilizers, gimbals, or any equipment that extends the reach of your camera. We only ask that you do not photograph any security equipment, emergency exits, or staff members without consent.

We love pencils! All guests are permitted to take notes and make sketches in the galleries using pencils. Please keep ink, charcoal, markers, oils, and other liquid media at home or safely stowed away.

Service animals, as defined in the Americans with Disabilities Act, are welcome at MOCA. Please note that pets and emotional support animals are not permitted.

Wheelchairs are available for check-out at the reception or lobby desk. Just inquire with a friendly MOCA Gallery Attendant when you arrive; we'll hold your ID while you borrow it. Wheelchairs will be wiped down with sanitizing supplies between uses.

Shirts and shoes please. We ask that all guests wear complete attire as they enjoy the museum. The Museum of Contemporary Art reserves the right to refuse admission, control occupancy, or eject/remove any person for any reason without refund, including violating the code of conduct or exhibiting unsafe, inappropriate, or disruptive behavior, or behavior likely to cause damage.

    Hi Karen,

The Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago (where I was at previously) has a Terms of Visit that we spent a lot of time honing before making public in 2020.
Sadly we saw non-trivial upticks in guests harassing visitor staff leading up to Nov 2016 and a resurgence in 2020.

We have one for youth groups.

    Youth Group Etiquette and Safety
Historic Jamestowne Museum and Historic Site
    Welcome
We are pleased that you have chosen to tour the original site of the first permanent English colony
in North America. To ensure that all our guests at Historic Jamestowne get the most out of their
experience here, we ask that you and your group abide by the following park etiquette and safety
    guidelines.
    Safety
    ● Teachers and chaperones must continuously monitor their groups to ensure student safety
    and appropriate behavior.
    ● Remain with your group at all times.
    ● Please refrain from letting any individual climb trees, walk down the sea wall, or climb on
the slippery rocks along the James River.
    Courtesy
    ● Be courteous to other groups, staff, and members of the public who are touring the site.
    ● Refrain from running, making loud noises, or in any way disrupting other people's visitor
    experience.
    ● When walking on the bridge or footpaths, please be mindful of others and keep your group
on one side to allow free traffic flow.
    ● Do not litter. Please retrieve any trash you leave behind and dispose of it properly.
    Prohibited Activities
Historic Jamestowne is an active archaeological site. Please be respectful of the sensitive and
fragile nature of the burials, historic structures, and archaeological features. The following
    activities are prohibited:
    ● Walking on, climbing, entering, ascending, descending, or traversing any archaeological or
cultural resource, monument, or statue, except in designated areas and under conditions
established by the Superintendent and Preservation Virginia.

leave by Preservation Virginia or National Park Service staff.
