Greetings from the Virginia Museum of History & Culture!
We're working on a project, the goal of which is to display a digital "slideshow" of photographs that are submitted by the public as part of an upcoming exhibition. When we've done this in the past, we've asked people fill out an online form and then upload their image to an FTP site (we used WeTransfer). From there we would select the images we wanted to include, create a video slideshow, and then run it in the gallery on a monitor and BrightSign.
Is anyone aware of an off-the-shelf product that would allow visitors to go to a link, submit an image (with some identifying information), allow staff to approve posts, and then aggregate the images into a slideshow display?
One of our colleagues suggested TaggBox, but that seems focused on aggregating and displaying posts from social media platforms.
Feel free to contact me offline at atalkov@VirginiaHistory.org.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best,
Andy
