  • 1.  Datalogger Donations

    Hi All,

I am upgrading data loggers across my museum system, which means I have quite a few older Hobo dataloggers that still work. I'd love to find a way to donate these to institutions who can use them rather than throw them away. Does anyone have any good resources on how to connect with institutions who may be able to use them?

    Good morning Brian,

Culturenut is a museum materials reuse and resale website, they may be a good place to publish. Or, I'd recommend reaching out to your local museum association. I could image that there are some smaller museums in your immediate area who would appreciate them.

    Hi Brian,

Are you a part of the Connecting to Collections Care online community that is run by the American Institute for Conservation and Foundation for Advancement in Conservation? That might be a good place to post about the Hobo dataloggers. Just yesterday there was a webinair about dataloggers, and there were participants who expressed the desire to have dataloggers, but were unable to obtain them for their institution due to the cost.

    I hope that helps.

    best,
    Jessica
