Stephanie,
You should talk to John Robinette at JT Robinette. I believe courier service is one of the many resources his cohort of museum/art contractors can provide. There is an inquiry form on his website. https://jtrobinette.com/
John is very responsive and collaborative. If he can't find you a courier, he may be able to connect you to someone who can.
Best of luck!

Subject: courier question
Dear colleagues,
Do any of your institutions still allow hand-carries? We have an item that needs to ship exclusive use but it is out of the borrower's budget. Unfortunately the shuttle option is two weeks in transit cross country and not a viable option. They have offered a first-class seat for a courier hand-carry but we no longer offer hand-carries for a variety of reasons. We really want to make this loan work for the borrower. Any thoughts on a hand-carry of a high value item would be most appreciated. Item is a small parchment manuscript valued at $450,000. It will easily fit in a carry-on bag. Thanks!
Best,
Stephanie
