  • 1.  Condition Reporting Software

    Posted 02-28-2024 09:29 AM

    Hello,

During our MAP Assessment, the reviewer suggested we look into switching from analog condition reporting to using a software program. Specifically, Articheck was mentioned. While I haven't used such software before, I wasn't sure it's the right product for us.

Do you use a software program for condition reporting, and if so, which one and how do you like it? Specifically, does it save time, or is it about the same as analog?

    Thank you for any suggestions.

    Sincerely,

Over the years, we have gone from notations on paper to PDF Expert via ipad to Articheck and back to PDF Expert. I would be happy to connect about why we have gone back to PDF Expert.

Greetings. I would highly recommend contacting the Balboa Park Online Collaborative (www.bpoc.org). BPOC is an exceptional nonprofit organization that offers counsel on practical, cutting-edge technology needs for museums of all types, sizes, budgets, etc. I refer just about all of my colleagues in the museum community to BPOC before making the leap to investing significant capital into software. Even a preliminary consultation would be invaluable. Good luck!
