Compelling examples of post-visit follow-up processes/pathways

    Hi everyone,

I work for a very small institution that's housed in a formerly segregated city-owned swimming pool. We address that history of segregation directly, and explore how marginalization and oppression of people within our community not only continues to have lasting consequences, but continues to occur.

I'm proud of how we address this during our visits, but if we're lucky, we get 60-90 minutes with a group. That's barely enough to scratch the surface, let alone make a transformative impact, let alone track that impact we're making on our community.

I'm interested in learning examples of other institutions who have sought to stretch their impact beyond the visit to the institution.

Eastern State Penitentiary bounces to mind and their exhibit (sorry, I'm forgetting the name!) on mass incarceration. A kiosk invites folks to add their email address, and it will follow-up with them in a few months.

Are there other similar examples? What else is out there that you all feel is going above and beyond to continue engage folks them about the mission and messages after they leave the site?

Appreciate any and all examples you can share!

    With appreciation,
