  • 1.  Community Exhibit at Holocaust Museum LA

    Posted 11-06-2024 11:41 PM

Holocaust Museum LA is currently working on a new community exhibit, titled "Meet Your Neighbor."  The exhibition aims to amplify the voices of communities who call LA home, educating visitors on the various experiences of our neighbors and those who share our home city by highlighting personal stories and encourage reflection about how our shared community developed.

The exhibition will feature stories submitted by individuals that provide a glimpse into how our neighbors view home. These views will include photographs that tell a story, an image of an artifact, or statements and sequences such as a poem or a wish. Visitors will be able to lean in and learn more about different aspects of the immigrant, refugee, and born experience of finding and creating home in LA.

We are inviting anyone who is interested to submit a story via the following link:

Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

    Thanks,

    Hello Christie,

    Sounds like a great exhibition!

Allow me to suggest that you also consider reaching the community in languages that they speak at home.

Eriksen provides translations for multiple museums in Greater LA (the Getty, LACMA, NHMLA, CSC, Huntington, Academy Museum, MOCA LA), as well as for Holocaust and history museums (Illinois Holocaust Museum, Holocaust Museum Houston, the Jewish Museum in NYC).

Of course, we'd be happy to advise--for free--top languages in LA via the Census and used by your peers.

    Best regards,

    Will Lach
