Dear colleagues,
The call for proposals is now open for AI4LAM Fantastic Futures 2026: Trust in the Loop, taking place in Washington, DC, September 15–17, 2026.
Trust is at the heart of what libraries, archives, and museums do. This year's theme invites us to explore how that trust carries into our work with AI.
What does it mean to build systems that are accountable, transparent, and grounded in the values of our field?
We invite proposals that explore four key areas:
-
Implementations
-
Data
-
People
-
Model & Infrastructure
Whether your work is experimental, in progress, or reflective, we welcome a wide range of approaches and perspectives.
Submissions are due Monday, April 6, 2026.
The conference will be held in person with a hybrid option available.
Planning to attend in person? Space will be limited, and submitting a proposal is one of the best ways to join us.
Ready to share what you're working on? Learn more at https://ai4lam.org/fantastic-futures-2026-trust-in-the-loop/
We're looking forward to the ideas, questions, and conversations you'll bring.
Warmly,
AI4LAM Organizing Committee
P.S. Interested in joining AI4LAM as a member (another good way to secure in-person participation)? Find more details here https://ai4lam.org/membership-for-organizations/
