Call for Newsline submissions in Spring 2024 Exhibition

  • 1.  Call for Newsline submissions in Spring 2024 Exhibition

    Posted 11-21-2023 05:10 PM

Have you visited an interesting new exhibition lately?

Something that touched you, made you laugh, or moved you to action? Consider writing about an exhibition you visited (not one you worked on) for Exhibits Newsline!

Exhibits Newsline is a section in the Exhibition Journal published by the American Alliance of Museums.

Entries should be brief (300 words max), breezy (tell what made it so great), and include three to four high-res images.

Submissions DUE Friday, December 1st--and accepted now.

For more information and to let us know you're interested, email: newslineexhibition@gmail.com and we'll send you more information. LET US KNOW right away if you're interested in submitting for the Spring 2024 issue.

The theme for the issue is Alternative Realities and how exhibitions can question or critique our assumptions about existing systems and open pathways to new or previously underexplored alternatives.

Pass it on to other colleagues you think would be interested.

One exhibition we've heard about and would love a report on is Kehinde Wiley: An Archaeology of Silence. If you've seen this exhibition, please consider writing up your experience and thoughts for Newsline.
