I'm working with a start-up museum that is going to rely heavily on the loans of objects from private collectors. Such collectors are not likely to have much lending experience. Does anyone know of any sample "borrowing contracts" (as opposed to a lending agreement) that museums might offer a collector – something that says "our institution has insurance, we won't lose your artifact, we promise to not scratch it, and we'd like to display it for 1 year...." Something like that? Asking for a friend :)
