  • 1.  Aviation/Science Interactive Vendor Recommendations

    Posted 03-21-2024 02:23 PM

    Hello,

We at College Park Aviation Museum are looking for vendors to create new children oriented interactives. If people know of vendors, other resources, or have any first hand recommendations we would really appreciate it.

    Best,

    Luke Perez

    Luke,

If you are looking for an exhibit design firm with lots of experience with children's museums and science centers, please add us to your list. If you are looking for "off-the-shelf" pre-designed interactive experiences, I would look at Boss Display.

Please reach out if you have any other questions. Best of luck to you with your future project,

    Hi Luke,

My company, Guardian Adventures, creates interactive experiences for children (and adults) where they play a role in an adventure based on the museum exhibit or display.  Think of a video game but without the computers... Kids get to solve a mystery or help the story move forward as they learn. Our focus is on creating transformative experiences that inspire the children to come away with a new perspective and a desire to act on their new knowledge.

We also create online courses that teach educators how to run in-class adventures that are about your installations or displays.  We created one for CERN which had over 120 children participating from around the world over Zoom on its first run.

I'm in DC this week and early next week if you would like to meet. I'd love to know more about your objectives.

    Thank you!

    Meghan

    Hi Luke,

If you are looking for augmented, virtual, or mixed reality interactives, I'd be happy to connect with you about our qualifications. We recently completed an interactive AR experience for the National Museum of Play  that may be of interest.  Although butterfly themed (to align with their brand), it might provide some inspiration for what's possible for aviation and science interactives. Feel free to take a look at our website and reach out if you'd like to schedule a meeting to learn more. www.novaby.com

    Hi Luke,

In addition to our traveling exhibits (Mission Aerospace and Quest For Flight), we also produce interactives from our exhibits for purchase. In 2023, we built a set of our Airplane and Rocket Maker & Launcher stations (from Mission Aerospace) for the Blakemore Planetarium in Midland, TX. Happy to share more.
