  • 1.  Alternative to NAME Professional Network

    Some of the professionals that were involved with the former NAME (National Association for Museum Exhibition) have joined with SEGD to form a professional practice group focused on museum exhibition. If you are attending the AAM annual meeting, you can find our more about what the group will be doing, membership benefits, and discounts for employees at non-profit institutions at the following booths:

    The SEGD booth (#5822) or the Available Light booth (#4507)  

    I have not yet decided if I am going to join this group, but I do miss NAME and am excited to find out more.

    Not having you join us in this new community would be devastating. The work you have done to make sustainability in museums--especially exhibition design--a part of every new project discussion is nothing short of inspirational. We need your mind, motivation, and passion to carry on with this work in an open and collegial community.

    This group will only be what the membership brings to it. We need your leadership and passion!

    I received an email from Steven Rosen of SEGD that I can forward to you. The local SEGD chapter chair and I are going to speak later today. It sounds like SEGD is making a concerted effort to welcome NAMErs.
