    Hi everyone,

At the Folger Shakespeare Library, we've started using AirTable for planning our temporary exhibitions and tracking work that needs to be done for our long-term exhibition (like object rotation, plus our in-progress installation work).

Generally, we're using AirTable both for things like object lists and graphic schedules, plus for tracking tasks (Gantt chart).

However, I've not had luck figuring out how to connect those aspects--so far, we're using these aspects separately. I'd like to integrate them together, which is beyond the capacity of anyone on our team. So, we've realized we need a consultant to help us getting our workflows up and running.

Has anyone worked with an AirTable consultant before? Any recommendations?

    David

    Hey there!

I'm not an AirTable consultant per se, but I do love working with the program and have setup numerous connected tables at my institution to handle our entire field trip booking workflow, docent tour scheduling, and zip code collating. I'd be interested in connecting for both sides, as I'd love to explore the Gantt chart aspects more (gives me an excuse to push our Exhibitions team away from constantly outdated Excel sheets) and I may be able to provide some insight into sheet connection and automation. Send me a DM if you'd like to connect.

If you'd really like a credentialed consultant, I might suggest posting on Tableforums, which is an AirTable message board. It's where I go when I wanna get really data gritty haha.

To this former IT Director for a large museum and a current museum master planning consultant, Drew sounds like the perfect person to talk to, especially at this stage. Most important, he understands how museums work behind the scenes. You could spend hours explaining what you are trying to accomplish with an AirTable consultant. Drew might not be able to do complex programming, but my sense is that he might be able to suggest simple, easy to manage solutions that work for you. Good luck!

Well hello! My Curator sent me this post as this is something that I actively do for my museum. I've been using Airtable for the last 5 years to manage and track exhibitions. I'd be happy to talk with you further about consulting!

    All the best!

    Hi everyone,

Thank you to everyone who has reached out, whether on this forum or privately! Your feedback has been really helpful, both in suggesting names and giving me more to think about as we build our systems. Much appreciated!
