Thank you Deborah! We are looking at a series, so several topic - from management "101" basics (providing feedback to your direct report, how to conduct check-ins, motivating employees, ensuring smooth communication between your team members, etc.) to more differentiated topics for senior managers (managing through layers, goal setting, leading across difference, etc.). Any and all suggestions would be welcome!

Laurie,
An excellent idea. It might be helpful if you could tell us specifically what areas of management you are contemplating. There are several museum professionals involved in training in these areas in graduate schools that could be helpful and easily adaptable for existing staff. For example, I teach sessions on Museums and Money and know others who teach in areas of organizational structure, personnel management, etc. I applaud your efforts in ongoing staff development.

I am researching options for providing management training sessions to our staff. Does anyone have recommended organizations or individuals who conduct such trainings? Or additional resources of those who understand the museum/nonprofit world?
