    The Spencer Museum of Art Collaborative would like to invite you to attend an online workshop on April 25th, 2020 from 10:00am - 11:00am CST featuring arts integration modeling and collaboration. Please see details below on this exciting opportunity! 

     

    Using Math and Art to Create Inspiring Curriculum: Modeling Best Practices to Support Educator Collaboration in a Distance Learning World

     

    Join So Choi (Blue Valley Middle School, Kansas - Art) and Lee Newell (Blue Valley Middle School, Kansas - Math) along with Spencer Museum of Art staff to explore key strategies for developing and sustaining successful educator collaboration across disciplines. This 60-minute webinar will highlight best practices, including building collaborative relationships, supporting creative problem solving, and leveraging benefits for students. Choi and Newell will share their collaborative process through the lens of a project involving the work of artist Sol LeWitt, taking into consideration the new e-learning school environment due to Covid-19. The webinar will end with a discussion on co-creating lesson plans across disciplines.
