Funding Models for Education Departments

  • 1.  Funding Models for Education Departments

    Posted 09-13-2018 10:28 AM

    Hello All,

At my organization we are trying to identify the best funding model for our Education Department. We are currently funded through a mix of Program fees (60-70%), Donations and Grants (5-10%) and support from museum entrance fees (20-25%).

I am interested in how other organizations fund education. Is it the same buckets or different funding source? What percentage? Are anyone's Education Departments expected to be self-funding with no support from the organization entrance fees?

Thank you for your time in responding!
